Gordon Benett
Alasdair & Charlie Large, that terrific working partnership and creators of the Keystone Brewery, have started their expansion campaign with The Benett Arms in Tisbury. They are using The Benett as a model format with which to transform other pubs, already in their sights, desperately needing some life and soul put back into them. Not only will their plans involve serving their splendid delicious beers (Alasdair seen here with Gordon Benett), and local ciders but they also intend to provide simple but tasty pies, sausage rolls, soups etc. Local drink and food for the local Tisbury community! Everybody will be welcomed so whether in your work clothes or dressed for a night out, The Benett will be the place to go. Alasdair wants their pub to be vibrant & comfortable enough for social and business meetings as well as creating a relaxing atmosphere for all to enjoy. Managed by Jenny who so brilliantly contributed to the Beckford’s popularity, she and her team will inject style and panache into The Benett, while leaving pretentiousness at the front door. We wish them well and good fortune, so please kindly give them the support they so rightly deserve.

REVIEW
‘A warm welcome awaits you at The Riverbarn in Fonthill Bishop. You might be staying in the tastefully decorated accommodation or having a delicious meal in the cosy, quaint, relaxing restaurant, but I know you will not be disappointed by the Riverbarn. Whether you have a full dining experience or just a snack and drink, the Riverbarn is exceptional and honestly well worth a visit. Last weekend we ate the best paté and ploughman’s lunch we have had in ages, and the set menu looked fantastic. Efficiently run by a mum and sons team, it is friendly and endearing with customers coming back time after time, after time. New evening opening hours will only add to their following.’ Ace Drummond.
